After losing their second in a row last night, the Toronto Blue Jays have fallen to second place. Are the Jays starting to slip?
There were men left in scoring position that didn’t get in to score, there have been more errors recently. Is this amazing run by the Jays starting to slow down as the rest of the American League East slowly starts to move up.
The Yankees looked good last night, Tampa Bay is looking much better and of course Boston keeps winning on most nights.
8 games over 500 is enough to be ashamed about, pitching help is coming soon too. Who knows?
Looks like the Jays are up 3-0 in the 3rd today against the Oakland A’s. Need a win here with series against Boston and NY coming up shortly.
Looks like Craigslist is getting busted for their erotic services (NSFW) section. Yes it links to all of the local talent : call girls, massage parlours.. Whatever you need to be happy.
Toronto politicians would never allow erotic services to be posted on Craigslist.. Would they?
Toronto loves a winner and it usually takes just that before the fans sheep start to support their Toronto teams.
Gone are the days when the Skydome was filled every night, the World Series championships… When the Jays were popular and winning, the fans certainly came out in flocks.. Then baseball died in Toronto and nobody talked about their beloved Blue Jays anymore.
Well those same Toronto Blue Jays made it two wins in a row, with a 13-1 drubbing of the LA Angels last night. Every Jay in the lineup had at least one hit, 3 more homeruns (Hill, Wells, Overbay) and the game was over by 2nd inning — 7-0 Jays and counting..
10 games over 500, 2 game lead for your first place Toronto Blue Jays.
Will the Jays still be in fashion this fall? Fingers fucking crossed!
Looks like Jim Balsillie (CEO of Black Berry) has the balls to make an offer for the Phoenix Coyotes.
Why it might actually happen…
1. Blackberry Bonzi is buying the Coyotes out-right for $212 million USD plus covering a small portion of their expected operating debt, not just a minority shareholder.
2. Tough economic times means owners are much more receptive to taking a money-losing team to another location with a strong owner.
3. Canadian teams make the majority of revenues for the NHL and pay revenue share back to the rest of the league. A 7th Canadian franchise would almost guarantee increased revenue back to the owners.
4. The Leafs don’t own the league, although Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment would argue that point and may get forced with another team playing in SW Ontario.
5. Oh yeah, Phoenix Coyotes declared for bankruptcy today.
Maybe I can finally afford to go to a hockey game again…
Wonder if my Black Berry will have a logo of the Phoenix Coyotes as a default next time I upgrade my phone?
Read an article today that Joba Chamberlain’s mom was arrested on suspicion of selling meth to an undercover cop. Nice.
Looks like the trash doesn’t fall far from the tree. Watch Joba Chamberlain’s April DUI patrol car video where he tries to pass the walking sobriety test.
Give him credit though.. I didn’t think he could count to 9, never mind walk a straight line.
Just when you thought that Alex Rodriguez might be turning the corner, more shit about his background keeps coming out that reminds everone how much of a tool he is.
Despite his coming clean to the media and public about how he “briefly experimented” with steroids, the truth seems to be more like he’s used them through out his career … in high school even… More and more stories about his HGH use while with the Yankees and even tipping off opposing teams, A-Roid is sinking fast.. Can’t wait until he comes to Toronto, because we fucking hate that guy already.
Of course A-Rod loves Toronto .. Well he loves our whores at least, when he got caught leaving the Brass Rail (notorious Toronto nudie bar) with a dancer on his arm back to his hotel. The Brass Rail is 10 minutes from where I live. Call me!
Journalist Selena Roberts is telling us what we all already expected. A-Rod has a lot more juice to spill..
I have to say it’s incredible pathetic to me that some of my friends are watching all of the NHL playoff games night after night. It’s beautiful outside, women are wearing sexy outfits again, sunny .. and they are inside watching the games..
I’ll admit that generally once the Leafs get knocked out, I tend to lose interest quickly.. Of course if someone wants to go out for pint, then I’ll pretend to be interested. I just want to drink.
On that note, I need to find a video of Montreal getting knocked out. I loved watching Boston beat the shit out of the Canadiens this year.
